Programme and practical information
Programme
Our yearly General Assembly will take place on 21-24 June in Lisbon, Portugal to celebrate 20 years of ENAR: the past, the present and the future. To mark the special occasion, we will reflect on the history of the network, the challenges of the past 20 years, our collective achievements, and end with a celebration!
Going back to where it all started, the 20th Anniversary General Assembly in Portugal is an opportunity for ENAR to rebuild its membership in Portugal and ask: what can we learn from the Portuguese anti-racism field? At a time of partial validation of the far-right across Europe, current shifts to the left in Portuguese politics provide some scope for learning.
In the sessions we will we dedicate some time to reflecting and rebuilding the movement for the future, using an intersectional approach to be as comprehensive as possible. How can we become a stronger, more effective, more inclusive network? How do we continue to tackle white supremacy? How can we communicate our messages more effectively? Reflecting on the momentum #MeToo, how can we ensure our movement is rejects all forms of harassment, violence and unjust privilege?
Looking forward to meeting you all in Lisbon!
