Member Spotlight: FEM-R on racism in Finland and Bringing feminism to the anti-racism fight
The ENAR Member Spotlight is a monthly series highlighting the work of our member organisations across Europe. In this edition, we talked to Hai Nguyen, the co-chair of FEM-R, a feminist anti-racist organisation amplifying the voices of racialised people and building a safer Finland for all.
Tune in to a conversation on how deeply ingrained racism is in Finnish politics and society, how just a non-Finnish name poses a barrier to job security, and what it means to bring feminist perspectives to the fight against racism.
Fem-R is run by racialised people for racialised people. All of its activities and actions are based on the principles of safer space, intersectional feminism, and anti-racism.
