EQUAL@WORK SEMINAR: Operationalising Intersectionality

Brussels, Belgium, 18-19 December 2023 – At a recent Equal@Work seminar, ENAR members, Equal@Work partners, civil society activists, and inclusion experts dived into the concept of intersectionality and worked through the challenges of its practical application.

Over two days, panelists delved into the origins and evolution of intersectionality, exploring its roots in Black Feminism, its academic incorporation, and its practical applications in combating discrimination in employment and community organising.

Facilitated by the coach and writer Marie Dasylva, the seminar provided a platform for rich discussions on challenges and successes in applying intersectionality as a tool for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Participants actively shared experiences, strategies, and success stories, making the seminar a vibrant space for learning and collaboration.
