A Europe for All: ENAR Launches an Anti-Racism Manifesto Ahead of 2024 European Parliament election
Brussels, Belgium, 21 February 2024 – The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is launching ‘A Europe for All: Roadmap for Change’ Manifesto, calling on political parties and MEPs to pledge support to combatting racism across Europe.
The upcoming European Elections are set to take place against a backdrop of an increasingly complex political landscape. Europe grapples with the rise of far-right factions, populist sentiments and movements that not only challenge democratic values but also express scepticism, if not outright antagonism, towards European unity and diversity. This shifting political landscape creates an atmosphere that puts marginalised and racialised communities at an even greater risk.
This is why the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is taking proactive steps in the forthcoming 2024 European Parliament elections. To engage with political groups and MEPs and garner their support for this critical cause, we are releasing our anti-racism Manifesto, outlining 10 key demands to make racial justice a priority in the EU.
A Europe for All: Roadmap for Change
ENARmanifestoSupported by our member organisations, ENAR’s Manifesto lays out 10 concrete actions needed to center racial justice as a key political priority, during both election campaigns and upcoming mandates.
As a testament to our unwavering commitment to addressing the pressing issues of discrimination and exclusion, we are actively inviting European political parties to endorse the Manifesto. By pledging their support, they signal their commitment to combating racism.
