Roundtable “Resisting at the Present, Building the Future”

ENAR is organising the roundtable “Resisting at the Present, Building the Future” on 31 October 2019 in Brussels.

We are holding this event to launch our research project on racist police brutality and community resistance in Europe.

How can we build our societies based on social justice, not criminal justice?

For racialised communities and those with the least power in society, the police can be experienced as the perpetrator of violence rather than the guardian of safety.

The Roundtable will bring together selected community organisers, academics, activists and others to discuss and strategise how to hold the police and state actors to account and how to build safe and resilient communities beyond relying on the criminal justice system.
