Monitoring EU law on racist crime: A guide for civil society

This guide aims to facilitate reporting by civil society organisations on the transposition of EU law on racist crime, and on the effectiveness of the policies adopted by Member States as a result. It is a simple check list of existing obligations that civil society organisations across the EU can use and compare to their country’s laws and policies.

Gathering and producing information on actual implementation of EU standards on racist crime is necessary to identify gaps and to advocate for the full implementation and reinforcement of existing instruments.

We need this information to be systematically collected to provide evidence that the current legislation is not enough. We need this information to be able to define the improvements that need to take place. Last but not least, we need this information to build political will.
