During the event, Ms. Helena Dalli, EU Commissioner for Equality, underlined that globally National frameworks for Roma Equality, Inclusion and Participation follow the strategic objectives of the EU framework. Nevertheless, many of them need to adopt an intersectional approach to combat antigypsyism and address Roma inclusion through mainstream policies and mechanisms (ex. housing, social services).

ENAR called for stronger investment in fundamental rights monitoring, reporting and protection to achieve equality, inclusion and optimal participation of Roma in all areas of life.
