ENAR’s achievements in May

Check out ENAR’s main achievements and impact during the month of May.


– Some of ENAR’s recommendations of speakers for the European Parliament LIBE Committee hearing on anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and hate speech (29th June) were put forward and accepted in the final programme. ENAR’s Chair, Sarah Isal, will speak during the introductory remarks.

– ENAR launched its latest Shadow Report on racist crime on 6th May in the European Parliament in presence of three MEPs, European Commission and FRA representatives and State officials. The report was quoted in 25 media, including Newsweek (dedicated article), Radio France International (interview), several mainstream Hungarian media, Agencia EFE (Spain) and Agenzia ANSA (Italy). The video has been seen 4262 times so far. On Twitter, the video was retweeted/mentioned 133 times, the shadow report 78 times and the launch in 54 tweets/retweets.

– ENAR’s work was also featured in an op-ed in the New York Times (“On being African in Europe”, 26th May)
