Karim Saafi

It is with great sadness that we have received the confirmation of the passing of our friend and colleague Karim Saafi in the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines flight on Sunday 10 March 2019, while he was heading to an international conference in Nairobi to connect people and ideas – one of his greatest talents.

12 March 2019

We express our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Karim’s family and friends.

Karim was a former Board member of ENAR from 2013 to 2014 and co-chair of ENAR member organisation the African Diaspora Youth Forum in Europe (ADYFE). He will always be remembered for his smile, energy and important contribution to the fight against racism and to youth and diaspora engagement in Europe.

RIP Karim. Your work will remain a testimony to what committed human beings can offer best to humanity. You will remain an everlasting inspiration for many of us.
