Headscarf Ban at Work in Europe: Questions and Answers

On 14 March the Court of Justice of the European Union will decide on the rights of Muslim women to wear the headscarf in the workplace. Find out more in this Q&A.

The EU Court of Justice will decide on two cases brought by Ms Achbita, from Belgium, and Ms Bougnaoui, from France, and will decide if prohibiting the headscarf in employment is discrimination according to EU law. Ahead of this upcoming decision ENAR and other NGOs have published a Q&A about the cases and wearing the headscarf at work.
