CampaignsCampaignsCampaigning is an increasingly important aspect of ENAR's work, especially since we have now moved to an 'integrated approach' for all our activities, galvanising all ENAR's resources in a targeted and strategic manner to fulfil our objectives. Campaigning is thus an integrated part of ENAR's operational mechanisms in achieving its overall objectives. Indeed, campaigning has become one of the key tools to change the hearts and minds of people towards achieving equality and respect for all in Europe.
ENAR strives to develop campaigns which are totally embedded in ENAR's strategic and work plans and to articulate these campaigns between the European and the different national levels for a maximised impact. ENAR also gives priority to strengthening the capacity of its members in campaigning operations. Over the years, ENAR has been able to develop a number of interesting campaigns, varying in scope and intensity, such as the campaign for the adotpion of the Race and Employment Equality Directives from 1998 to 2000, the campaign for a citizenship of residence in 2003 or the awareness raising campaign for the 2007 European Year of Equal Opportunities for All in 2006. Many more are now to follow…
